Malawi is a failed state, a land that gives no hope. I’m one of Malawians leaving in South Africa and I work as an Export Administrator. The only proof of identity that I have is my Malawian passport with a work permit endorsed in it. After realising that my passport got expired, I went to The Malawi Consulate situated at Sunninghill in Johannesburg to apply for a replacement passport and that was in December last year, unfortunately until today I’m still waiting for both my old and new passports. When I think of visiting institutions like banks and hospitals it… Read more »
Mussa a cash gate man serving as minister telling the nation about the vision of Mathanyula, which vision are you talking about. This is useless. This is a pure evidence of how Malawians are suffering and you guys are busy stealing tax payers money.
Bandawe, Malawi is not the poorest countri in the world but one of the poorst countries in the world. Here in South Africa there are many from other countries as well like Zimbabwe. When people are caught fro illegal stay and entry you cannot blame government for that especially when caught in illegal acts. I bet you much as you can blame your own government these people once repatriated will come back here so you want government to be speinding money every time on this? Malawi has never been rich in its history so its not about a person but… Read more »
I have seen many young people in Mchinji, Lilongwe, Kasungu working hard in farming. The stumbling block for their development is the exploitation from vendors who buy crops from them at literally give away prices. Most of these vendors are Burundians ,MPs, Cabinet Ministers and some politically connected heavy weights.
This leaves these people poorer and so helpless. If only this can be rectified by putting protective laws in place, we could not have seen many of our people flocking to such Xenophobic country.
I have for several times indicated that Malawi is at the bottom of the poorest nations in the world, but other uninformed Malawians would not agree with me.There we are now,1103 young Malawians are ready to be deported back to their economically wretched nation. What a SHAME? This is done after 52 years of nationhood in the country’s self-determinations,while our leaders are busy stashing billions of dollars in foreign Banks, most recently,we have seen Mathanyula and his cohorts in a hired Jet at a cost of US$693million from public funds,What a lunacy? And where is our dear mother Malawi heading to? This is… Read more »
Think before you comment. There is no way someone can leave his country and go to a foreign land to suffer. When they say Malawi is the poorest country in the world this is evidence. The name Malawi means fire ???? first lest disassociate our country with this fire because it is really burning us. This country has no resources to support the population of 17million plus as things r we will keep suffering till Jesus comes. Those who can go out for green pastures please do so because there is really fire in this country .
