Miss Blantyre back to empower girls, pageant set for Oct 13 at Mount Soche Hotel

The Miss Blantyre Pageant returns October 13, in the commercial City of Blantyre with the mission of unlocking hidden potential amongst young girls in the city.

This is an annual event whose winner becomes an ambassador tasked to inspire fellow youth, including the girls through positivity.

This year, the contest returns under the theme “Unlocking Girls Potential” and will take place at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

Chairman of Miss Blantyre Pageant, Daniel Ngwira said tthis year’s event is to bring out the best from young single girls between the ages of 18 to 26.

“Potential is meaningless if not nurtured or cultivated to fruition and maturity. So, against any hurdles girls face, we will bring out activities related to this year’s theme that will help break any barriers and bring out the best from the girl.

“So, this being a platform for ambitious and hardworking girls, and only those with self-esteem, we have all the reasons to carry on with the pageant and achieve more,” he said.

He added that Partners like VIP Securicor, Fitness Centre and Insight Media helped them in preparations for the 2017 Miss Blantyre grand finale near a climax; organisers have recently unveiled two key partnerships established with an objective to light up the event.

Pageant this year, will have remarkably a celebration of pictures and tight.

“Pageantry revolves around a life that is real and visual imagery attests to that. Against this background, we have considered to bring this innovation to the activities in preamble as guests shall be arriving to watch this grand finale. Basically, we will have Insight Media taking professional pictures for our delegates,” said Ngwira.

Through this partnership, Miss Blantyre 2017 assures patrons of maximum security and great protocol throughout the event.

“We have partnered the very best in provision of state-of-the-art security services in the country. Our objective is to thrill an enabling environment where our patrons get maximum entertainment,” said Ngwira.

According to Daniel Gomani who is Sales and Projects Manager for Insight Media, his company aspires to support the event and at the same time promoting their brand.
