Mizati Entertainment organises Valentine’s music fiesta: Set to spoil Blantyre youths

Mizati Entertainment is psyched up to spoil Blantyre youths to an exquisite afternoon of amusement this Saturday in commemoration of Valentine’s celebration.

Tagged ‘Valentine Music Fiesta’, the rave urban music party is scheduled to take place at the Shire Highlands Hotel- by the pool side.

According to Mizati Entertainment director, Costen Mapemba, the show guarantees to be a blast as it will bring a club of Malawi’s best urban music artistes.

“Basically we want to ensure that the youths are also included in events like Valentine which are predominantly deemed to be for adults.

“So this is one way of bringing them together so that they enjoy with their friends while sharing lighter moments¸ dancing, listening to music and having snacks,” Mapemba told Nyasa Times.

He said the fun-filled afternoon has lined up a cluster of some Malawi’s award winning urban musicians to offer special treat to the youthful fun seekers.

“Artistes scheduled to perform at the fiesta include Blakjak, Diktator, Gwanda, Nepman, Star Marley, Shozzie, Provoice, Revlet, Evident, Mad, Character and others,” he said, adding that MIJ FM’s Nicholas Mbonela popularly known as Che Nkope and Nancy will also perform.

Asked why the Valentine show has been scheduled for Saturday when the actual day is Friday, Mapemba replied: “It’s deliberate. We are doing it on Saturday because we want them to have enough time of fun, a packed afternoon.”

The bash which has been sponsored by Costen Clearing Company will start from 13:00hrs till 18:00hrs “so that the youths can return home in good time because we are not trying to encourage immorality but to keep them busy, have fun with friends, relax then go home go in good time.”

Mapemba said Mizati Entertainment was trying to provide a podium where young Malawians particularly those based in Blantyre could convey friendship and share love in the midst of all-out entertainment.

Mizati Entertainment is one of the known entertainment companies in Malawi and usually organises lakeshore (beach) festivals during Easter holidays.

“Valentine season is an ideal moment to share and apparently, that is what Mizati Entertainment has set out to do. We expect all youths in Blantyre to be there, if they don’t come they miss together with their friends,” concluded Mapemba, former President of the Musicians Association of Malawi (MAM).

Globally, different people celebrate Valentine’s Day on 14th February in different ways with others using the occasion to exchange cards or roses as a symbol of love and others taking the event to host their loved ones on luxurious meals or go to romantic havens.
