Mlaka launches ‘Hossana’ first gospel album

A well known artist who switched from secular music to gospel, Mlaka Maliro successfully unveiled his first gospel album – Hossana – at the Lilongwe Sheaffer Hall on Sunday.

The venue was fully packed with people who came to witness Mlaka live performance in the world of gospel switching from secular music after nine albums.

Mlaka has however maintained the same beat that made Dzanja Lalemba a bestseller 12 years ago.

“I am very happy because I was not expecting to have large audience like this, may God be blessed” Mlaka told Nyasa Timesafter the launch.

Apart from Kamwendo, others who performed included The Great Angels Choir, The Marvellous Deeds, Evance Meleka, Thocco Katimba and Limbani Simenti.

Mlaka will be back in Lilongwe on 11th November, 2012 to launch Hosanna DVD album at the same venue.
