Mlombwa’s Countrywide Car Hire sponsors south trophy
Barely after four days after the Southern Region Football League (SRFL) secured sponsorship from sportswear suppliers Nsenjere for their league, the regional body has secured another sponsorship from Countrywide Car hire of Mike Mlombwa for a regional challenge cup.
The champions will get K 2 million. Runners up K 1 million and third placed team will receive K500,000.00
Marketing manager for Countrywide Car Hire, Linly Lipipa ssaid as a Malawian own company they thought of sponsoring the sport as one way of helping in developing football in the country.
Lipipa also disclosed that plans are underway to have the same trophy in the other regions and the southern region is the key to it if they manage well the sponsorship.
SRFL chairman Raphael Humba thanked Countrywide Car hire for the timely sponsorship and pledged to provide good administration.
FAM chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda thanked Countrywide Car hire for the “kind gesture” and urged other Malawian companies to emulate.
