Malawi’s firebrand opposition politician Kamlepo Kalua has said “money hunters” are on the powl to deceive President Peter Mutharika that famous prophet Shepherd Bushiri will be challenging him for the top job in 2019 elections.
Kalua who is a worshiper at the Enlightement Christian Gathering (ECG) of South African based youthful billionaire prophet, said the ‘Major 1’ is “not interested in entering the presidential race.”
He said Bushiri loves Malawi and is patriot “ but he doesn’t have that ambition to run for the country’s presidency.”
Kalua said Bushiri’s aim is to help Malawians in charity and deal with the poverty that is bedevilling the nation.
“S,o to for someone to say that he is vying for the President on 2019 general elections then it is wrong,” Kalua claimed.
“Those are saying that just want to deceive the President Peter Mutharika. They are money hunters, so they know if they deceive Mutharika they will gain something,” he lamented.
Bushiri has also been denying the allegation saying “taking the President position means demotion especially when compared to my current position of prophet.”
He said his church has membership from all walks of life and different political affiliations including the PP, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), United Democratic Front (UDF) as well as Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
