MP Bisnowaty donates bicycles to Police at Kanengo Station
Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre, David Bisnowaty has donated a set of bicycles to Kanengo Police Station as one way of helping in fighting crime in the area especially during the festive sesason.
Speaking during the presentation on Christmas Eve, Personal Assistant for the Parliamentarian, Mark Zilirakhasu, said the deliverance of the bicycles to the area is one way of fulfilling his pledge during the opening ceremony of the Police unit.
“When honourbale Bisnowaty was opening area 49 Dubai Police Unit, he promised to do something to ease mobility, this is why we are here to deliver his pledge,” said Zilirakhasu.
Receiving the donation, Kanengo Police station officer In Charge, Assistant commissioner Denis Katuya, commended Bisnowaty for the donation.
Katuya said: “The heart of giving does not mean that he or she has plenty, this shows that Bisnowaty has a heart of giving and we are not taking this for granted.”.
He said the donation will go a long way in strengthening security for the area.
During the handover ceremony Senior Group Village Headman Chimoka commended the MP for the donation.

There are some who will sneer at this donation of bicycles, saying that our police cannot be shamed into using them, and that the MP should have donated a motor vehicle instead.
