MP launches K1.5m trophies for Mzimba Solola

Member of Parliament for Mzimba Solola  Jacob Hara has launched football and net ball trophies worth  K1.5 million with the aim of keeping the youths away from immoral behaviors.

Speaking on Sunday during the launch of the trophies, Hara of Malawi Congress Party (MCP) said many youths in the constituency which covers Mzimba business area have no recreation activities or places for leisure

Hara, who disclosed his desire to see a team from Mzimba boma qualify for the top flight Super League, said the trophies have potential of exposing rare foot ball and net ball talent

“I am committed to developing foot ball in the district and my desire is to see a team from Mzimba boma should one day play in the super league”, said Hara

During the launch of the trophies where teams from 13 zones will try their luck Mzimba select beat Zubayumo select 2-0

In his words Foot ball association of Malawi representative John Pemba commended MP Hara for the gesture saying it will help in the development of both net ball and football in the district which has
very few competitions

“We don’t have many competitions this side and we thank the honourable for the gesture which will greatly assist in the development of sports in the country “,said Pemba

However some of the spectators urged the legislator to facility the construction of a fence around Chimkusa ground
