Mr Price an upmarket retail shop is closing down barely five years after it opened in Malawi.
One of the employees at Mr Price Shop at Ginnery Corner in the commercial city if Blantyre confirmed the development on Thursday saying that this is the last month for the shop to operate.
The dejected employee said Mr Price had already closed down in the administrative capital Lilongwe where it started operating before moving to Blantyre.

The development will leave 30 Malawians hopeless as they will join the ever-increasing number of unemployed in a country where most people rely on employment.
“It’s true Mr Price is closing and this is the last month. Right now the items are being sold at half the price in a bid to clear them out by the end of this month,” said the employee dejected.
When asked about the number of employees who will be affected by the closure, the employee said :”The shop had 13 employees here and 17 in Lilongwe.”
“Why are you asking? Do you want to employee them?”
