A Citizen for Transformation (CFT) political movement leader, Timothy Mtambo, has been told that he is just a rabble-rouser not a revolutionary.
Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) spokesman Nicholous Dausi said Mtambo has nothing to offer in the frontline politics and is only bent on “silly” talks only believed by his bunch of social media carpers.
Dausi said the high level of crime and lawlessness currently being experienced in the country is a direct result of what Mtambo has been preaching.
The DPP spokesman was reacting to claims by Mtambo that the governing party visited witchdoctors in Mozambique and Democratic Republic of Congo in order to kill him.
In his accusations without mentioning names, Mtambo last Thursday in his home district of Chitipa that DPP cadets approached witchdoctors in the district with an aim of bewitching but they failed.
“I was in Lilongwe , but I was able to see them going to Chitipa to seek help from a witchdoctor aided by man from our clan as per belief to kill someone magically you need to use someone from the same clan,” Mtambo claimed.
Mtambo further said that the DPP officials then went to Mozambique and Congo seeking help from witchdoctors to kill him but all proved futile.
He, however, warned people from his clan not to be used by DPP, saying alleged attempt to kill him is an impossible mission.
Dausi insists Mtambo is trying to find relevance in politics and it is failing as he can’t even fool some of the people some of the time.
But Mtambo has vowed that his movement will help topple the DPP from power in the fresh presidential elections, endorsing a Malawi Congress Party (MCP)-UTM Party alliance.
