Mtawali confident of Malawi U-20 victory over Botswana
Malawi Under-20 national football team coach Ernest Mtawali is oozing with confidence that his charges would overcome Botswana in Saturday’s clash of the Caf Youth Championship preliminary round at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Mtawali said despite having had shoddy preparations ahead of the clash his players were charged to record a positive result in the first leg.
He also said the majority of the players had graduate from Under-17 national football team.
“Although we have not played a friendly game to assess the players I am confident that we are going to win the game,” Mtawali said.

“We are more than ready to do win.”
He said since the team had not idea about the strength of their opponents they need to have a positive attitude to overcome the Youn Zebras.
“What will be critical is the approach of the game because we have not spied on our opponents,” he said.
Buoyed by home ground supporters Malawi Under-20 have a daunting task to bring smiles back on the soccer fans who have been disturbed by the senior national team’s poor performance.
Football Association of Malawi has issued affordable gate charges with the Open Stands going at just K200, MBC Stands K500, Covered Stands K1,000, VIP K5,000.
