The visitors scored first through Joseph Dossa and Richard Mbulu.

However,Frazer Menyani struck twice after half-time, with Pilirani Kadam’manja scoring the other goal to take game on its head.

Max Bullets boss Max Kapanda, who sat on the bench  would have every right to feel aggrieved, though, as his side failed to net the fourth goal with the yawning goal after Frazer Menyani failed to connect a cross from the right side.

Mafco started by far the better of the two sides, and it was the in-form Mbulu who nearly
broke the deadlock in the opening minutes.

The striker turned Max defence inside and out before hitting a low effort that appeared to be heading in at the near post, but Max Bullets goalkeeper just about got down in time to touch it onto the woodwork.

The Salima based soldiers had the momentum but their their strikers lacked confidence inside the box.

For the first time this season, Max played as a unit and they defended in numbers frustrating Mafco who looked to have  given up.

After Sunday’s result,Mafco remains on fourth position with 25 points and have a game against Silver Strikers before the end of the first half.

Max Bullets have finished the first round and have 7 points on the tail of the table.
