Trouble with Mulanje chiefs is that they think they own Malawi in general and Mulanje in particular such that they can make stupid pronouncements regarding citizens who hold different views to theirs. I dare them proceed with their threat to banish Kaliati from her home. They will be immensely ashamed and embarrassed when a judge overturns their stupid action.
This makes you wonder whether Malawi is in safe hands with these idiots who only know thieving and misuse of taxpayers money.
Blaming Kaliati will not change the fact that chief Ngongoliwa and Muli betrayed president Peter Munthalika by forming UTM behind his back. Lets be honest to our self here. You would have to be a fool to believe Kaliati and Chilima. Kaliati and her bandwagon have created that story to justify why Chilima has to stand in next year’s presidential polls. But, as with all lies, limakwana lachi 40. It does not make any sense that Chief Ngongoliwa would have done that. NO WAY. Akweni could be exiled to Ncheu, Chilima’s home base: then we’ll see if the Masekos, her new allies, would give her refuge.
And, may be, she could even run there as an MP; thereby freeing Mulanjeans from her shenanigans.
So decisions made by Lomwe chiefs and the Mlakho people become government policies? Why should Lomwes decide the direction Malawi should take at the expense of other tribes? And tribal meetings taking place at state house?

Have read the story properly, these people are talking about their area in T/A Juma, Mulanje District and their own daughter Patricia Kaliati, how does that become a national policy and a decision affecting other tribes?
