Multichoice Malawi launches two new Supersport channels: English Premier, La Liga on Dstv compact bouquet
Dstv Compact bouquet subscribers, mainly those who follow English Premier League (EPL) and La Liga football have all the reason to smile as these world’s best football leagues will now be available on this bouquet at no extra cost.
Announcing the development Tuesday, Multichoice Malawi Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said they are aimed at offering best entertainment to their subscribers to enjoy more value than ever.
This means that all Compact football fans will now be able to enjoy the biggest games of the season including this Saturday’s match (28 February) on SS11 between long-time rivals, Arsenal and Manchester United!
Nyirenda said while it’s been a very interesting year for the Video Entertainment industry, it has been a very harsh one for their consumers with high inflation rates putting them under enormous financial pressure over the past months.
“As a caring brand, this has challenged us to find creative ways to bring the best entertainment for our subscribers to be able to enjoy more value than ever.
“In the last year, we have engaged our subscribers and listened to their requests for affordable entrainment. So to us, today’s announcement is possibly the most exciting and ground-breaking news we have made in the business recently,” said Nyirenda.
He said they put subscriber’s needs at the heart of everything they do, hence the introduction “Values Campaign for our subscribers!”
“This exciting Values Campaign entails providing great content at an affordable price. And to kick off this great campaign ladies and gentlemen, I’m excited to announce that as of today, we will be bringing our DStv Compact subscribers the biggest and the best football leagues in the world.

“From Tuesday, the 23rd of February 2016, the world’s best football leagues – the Barclays Premier League (EPL) and La Liga – and the Euro 2016 will be available toDStv Compact subscribers in all their HD glory, at no extra cost,” asserted Nyirenda.
This news channels are SuperSport 11 and SuperSport 12 which will air in both Standard and High Definition formats. SuperSport 12 (DStv channel 212) will be dedicated to showcasing the EPL and La Liga, respectively on the DStv Compact bouquet.
Apart from enjoying other exciting Spanish matches–Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid on 27th February, Barcelona vs Sevilla on 28 February—Compact subscribers will be treated to highlights, magazine programming, pre-match discussions and panel shows on SS12.

Thats great Multichoice but consider GOtv soccer loving subscribers too. On separate no cant Multichoice allow our local Tv providers to form a bouquet of local channels on their platform at say K2000? This will lessen the pressure on Malawi Digital decoders in cities and may also boost the revenues of our local Tv providers though broadcasting rights from Multichoice.
