Mussa: Could have been killed

Mussa was vying for the party vice-presidency for the South.

His motor vehicle was badly damaged by the panga-wielding thugs and they had two rifles.

The thugs  were asking Mike Ben Chitenje for further instructions before the Cabinet minister found his way out.

As of now the motor vehicle is badly damaged and the police are investigating.

According to sources within the DPP Team A the thugs had instructions to kill but failed since others were remembering the Robert Chasowa murder where Chitenjr was one of the accused.

DPP secretary general Greselder Jeffrey said the boys were  were party of the convention security committee and could understand why they would want to harm Mussa.

She said that it could be a mistaken identity as they could be looking for some adversaries.

Or is it a case of “Mussa survives his own thugs”. Like a father who gets destroyed by his own children who were raised badly.

I have always said this is the case of chickens coming home to roost. DPP nurtured these thugs to harm and maim members of other political parties. Today they have descended on one of their own. DPP will never jealously guard the hard-won democracy as it was not among the parties fighting for multiparty politics. It has no idea why Malawians felt enough was enough for the one party system of government and many people risked their lives for the democracy we are enjoying. DPP wants to take us back to those days of terror where dissenting views attracted untold… Read more »

Wa Jeffrey should not say anything about this attack. Let Dausi and Kasaila open their mouths. These are the people who have time and again defended the DPP thugs. The police claim they are still investigating the attack of the Times journalist during the opening of Parliament by Mutharika. Before the investigation is completed, a big fish within the DPP will be gone so that you stop shielding these thugs. Tinkanena adathira msiizi.
