Malawi Queens coach Peace Chawinga-Kalua has hailed the country s sole netball export Mwawi Kumwenda’s return to the squad ahead of the forthcoming world netball championship ending the gulf that has been there between the player and the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM).
Kumwenda was barred from being part of the Queens by NAM after the player openly accused the association of failing to take care of the welfare of its players.
Queens coach has however expressed delight with the shooter’s return and said it will be of great significance final piece of the jigsaw which will help the team.
“We are very happy that Mwawi is finally back in Queens squad and we thank her for her understanding,” said Kalua to Nyasa Times.
According to Chawinga Kalua, at the meantime, it is only Cecilia Mtukule who has excused herself due to personal commitments.
But she expressed concern with the way preparations are going on.
“The type of training we are having ahead of the world netball championship is not that is required and we are just improvising,” she said.Follow and Subscribe Nyasa TV :
