Mwana Wa Atate song by Prophet Sanders topping charts, trending

A new song Mwana Wa Atate — by Prophet Sanders—is topping local music charts and trending on social media platforms, consequently becoming a household name.

The song is trending on Tiktok and is among top 10 tracks on the hottest urban music chart Made On Monday hosted on Radio 2 by popular DJ, Joy Nathu.

Prophet Sanders, whose real name is Kisa Paul Kumwenda, featured in his debut song gospel artist Beuce Africa and two popular secular artists; Bee Jay and Malinga Mafia, the Malawian Dancehall “King Kong”.

The song is about a believer praising God and challenging devil would not wrestle with a child of God, who, among other goodies, is fed, financed, protected and blessed by God. The believer says is the fearless child of the “big man” and is not worried and sick. The future, adds the child of God, is very bright.

In an interview with Nyasa Times, Prophet Sanders, Founder of The Temple of God Church also known as TTG, said he started his music journey in 2019 as “he believed he could take his message of hope to every youth in the ghetto”.

He added his music career is inspired by underground Hip Hop artists like EMC, Lupi Fiasco, Third Eye and Young Kay.

“Though my favourite artists still remain Malinga Mafia, Bee Jay, Ace Jizzy, Mastol and Lady Aika. I just like the test of good music,” he said.

Prophet Sanders is a Lilongwe based Prophet, Hip-Hop artist and Education Activist born on 8th April 1986 and comes from Mzimba District.

He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Economics. He did his secondary school at William Murray and Phwezi Boys and later went to do his Bachelor’s Degree at Bunda College of Agriculture.

Prophet Sanders is Married to Susan and they have two children Amanda and Amaryah.
