The Australian based netballer has been in South Africa on holiday .

However, the only setback for the Queens is Sindi Simtowe who is still out due to injury.

Speaking to Nyasa Times after the latest development, Queens Coach Griffin Saenda said the team is in good shape ahead of the tournament.

“The girls are in good shape. We are making good progress every passing day and we hope to do well in Australia. We are happy that she (Mwai ) has finally joined camp and we are still assessing her. But I have enough confidence in the team I have and we are just praying that Sindi Simtowe recovers from the injury.

“If it happens that she fails to recover in good time, we will see what to do because we already have altanative measure. All the players I have in camp are in contention for a ticket to Melbourne,” said Saenda.

Kumwenda started training with the team on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the team is expected to receive another financial support from Illovo sugar limited on Friday.
