Malawi’s only netball export, Mwayi Kumwenda, continues her goalscoring form in the Australian Victorian Netball League as she insipired Penninsula Waves to an easy victory against Ballart Pride on Wednesday.
Kumwenda dictated play and hot an astonishing 59 goals for her side’s tally of 68 against 45.
The talented Malawi product last week scored 40 of the 57 baskets her team netted in the win agaist VU Western .
Winger-attack Stacie Proctor was also a large contributor in the contest and combined well with the towering Malawi star.
Kumwenda told Nyasa Times that she was happy to be in a goal spree but paid tribute to her team-mates for making it possible.
“I am happy that I keep on scoring more goals,” she said.
“But I have to thank my colleagues because without them I am nothing and they are a massive help.”
Kumwenda is on a second season with Waves.
