Mzuzu’s Swag to launch Kukaya music festival : New entertainment park in the offing

Courtesy of Swag Entertainment, probably Mzuzu’s highly decorated festival dubbed “Kukaya Urban Music Festival” has been earmarked to launch in August, 2019.

The two-day entertainment Music extravaganza will commence from August 30 – 31 at

the newly built Swag Entertainment Park, also marking the official grand opening of Mzuzu’s new den of entertainment.

According to Swag Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Francis Mkandawire, this will be a double celebration for the north and the nation at large.

He added that the event will for the first time bring the cream in urban music circles to heat up the occasion that will be sugar coated with the finest urban music galore.

“It will be something that we should be proud, to start with, Mzuzu will be well represented through the newly built park that will allow artists from across the country to host their shows here in the northern capital, and secondly it is an opportunity to have fun in the name of urban music,” said the seemingly excited Mkandawire.

Over 11 Malawi’s celebrated artists have confirmed their participation and Swag

Entertainment will soon announce the names.

Meanwhile, the Mzuzu based entertainment outfit is appealing to the corporate world to join the dream in sponsoring the event.

This will be the first time for a a northern region based music company to own an entertainment park that will accommodate music shows, corporate function among others.
