Nation editor Tukula moving to Times TV

Editor of Malawi’s flagship daily, The Nation, Gracius Tukula,  has been hired by the Times Group to become part of editorial management of Times TV and also help with the Daily Times newspaper.

Sources at Times Group said Tukula, one of the respected and prominent journalists in Malawi was “top level of the Times TV’s editorial team.”

Tukula who has also been a columnist with Nation on Sunday called the Loud Mouth, also bade farewell in his  “last entry” to the column.

“Working for Nation Publications Limited (NPL) and being part of this family has, for me, definitely been a good thing. You do not give 17 years of your life to something unless it is really good and NPL has been really good to and for me. Like with all good things, however, my adventure with the organisation I have regarded as home for two decades has run its course,” wrote Tukula.

In the column Tukula however did not disclosed his next destination.

“I am aware of the obvious question – so what next? That is outside the ambit of this column,” he wrote.
