NBM basketball semis: Central region dominates

The National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Mo626 College Basketball Tournament has reached at the boiling point, as the semi-final set was completed on Saturday with central region  dominating the stage.

In men’s category, Polytechnic and Africa Bible College (ABC) cruised through in Group A, while in Group B, Malawi College of Accountancy Lilongwe campus and Mzuzu Technical College also booked a place.

In the Ladies category, ABC and Bunda College qualified from Group A, while Mzuzu Technical and NRC also made it.

This translates that out of the 11 colleges from the South  only Polytechnic represents the region. From the northern region there are two teams namely, Mzuzu Technical which has both men and ladies teams.

The Central region will be represented by five teams. The semi-final games are scheduled to take place next month in Lilongwe at Civo and ABC courts.

Also present during the games were Head of Marketing, Wilkins Mijiga and  Basketball Associaition of Malawi Vice General Secretary , Banthali Banda.
