The agreement was signed on Monday, 30th March, 2015 at Mibawa Headquarters in Blantyre.

The agreement means that Nde’feyo Entertainment, an artist management and events promotion company, has taken over the management of events at the Mibawa Café in Blantyre.

“As part of its commitment to entertainment and events management, Mibawa believes that Nde’feyo being a premier Record Label and having several artists under their umbrella, would be able to ensure a consistent delivery of various artists that would ensure consistent quality entertainment with different themes to its customers,” says Nkhwachi Mhango, production and events director at Mibawa.

He added: “Mibawa will monitor the delivery of the services to ensure we are getting the maximum customer satisfaction. We believe that the coming in of Nde’feyo will give a variety of entertainment to Blantyre residents and those visiting. This is one of the initiatives from Mibawa as pioneers of classic live music entertainment in Malawi. Mibawa and Nde’feyo are geared to taking the live music entertainment bar to the next level.”

Nde’feyo Entertainment co-director Khumbo Munthali says they are happy to have partnered Mibawa Multimedia and Events Management Centre to run the Cafe.

“We have always had interest to own or manage a live events venue and we have always supported the idea of having a place such as Mibawa Café in town since its inception,” Munthali said.

Munthali says as an entertainment company, Nde’feyo are always looking for ways to expand, the Partnership with Mibawa is in line with our business strategy.

“To refresh the place, we’re bringing a variety of new activities and our immediate plans are to rope in different artists who will be performing at the Café weekly,” said Munthali.

Hopefully this is for the good of all. I am meant to believe that there will be a variety of artist performing. Try to bring the best in live performance not just names. My only fear is turning this place into a teen age hip hop and dancehall venue. Come to think of it most of these so called rappers and afro pop musicians are not even that good on stage.
