Launching the club, Gowa Nyasulu said his team will strongly build on youth development with few experience players to help nurture the talent and eyes promotion to the flagship TNM Super League.

The team has assembled experienced technical team which is being headed by seasoned technician Stain Chirwa formerly Silver Strikers head coach.

Gowa-Nyasulu said sports have been one of his hobbies since he was young and he thought of owning a team to help unearthing talent.

He said he could afford to buy or sponsor already established team in Super League but he thought of developing the game from lower league hence the establishment of Tiyuni United that will be participating from lower league in Chipiku Stores Central Region Football Association league.

Gowa Nyasulu, who  disclosed to Nyasa Times that he has  invested close to K20 million in the team, pledged to make move investments in football infrastructure.

“We cannot talk of meaningful football development if we don’t invest in grassroot football,” he said.

Football Association of Malawi vice president James Mwenda thanked Gowa Nyasulu’s good gestures of coming forward to own and sponsor a team which he said it’s a challenge in Malawi considering the economic challenges the nation is facing.

Mwenda urged other individuals who have capability to own or sponsor clubs to come forward and emulate Kamphinda Gowa Nyasulu.

According to Central Region Football Association committee general secretary Bernard Chiwiruwiru Harawa, Tiyuni United football club has bought the slot of Dowa based MAICC FC to play in the K9 million Chipiku Stores Central Region Football Association League.
