The midfielder has been linked with a move to one of top Premier Soccer League (PSL) heavyweights Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United.

While confirming Ng’ambi’s stay, Platinum Stars boss Ratanang Nke told South Africa’s Kickoff magazine that issues to do with players whose contracts were expiring have been finalized.

“The player is staying with us. We have exercised the option.

“We had a few issues with other players whose contracts are expiring at the end of the season. But I want to assure our supporters that we are doing our utmost best to keep our talent in the team” said Ratanang Nke.

Ng’ambi’s contract was expiring in June this year.

The gifted Malawian born midfielder has been influential during Stars’ success of recent seasons, which included inspiring the club to the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout victories of last season.

He also won a couple of individual awards.
