NGO-Gender Coordination Network has new board chair, members

NGO-Gender Coordination Network has elected Maggie Kathewera-Banda as the new board chairperson.
She takes over from Barbara Banda who reigned from 2018 to 2023.
Kathewera Banda, who is expected to lead the organization for the next three years, was elected at an annual general meeting which took place on Tuesday in Lilongwe.

David Odalli was elected vice-chairperson with Wesley Chabwera as treasurer.
Other board members include Nelson Zakeyo, Carol Mvalo and Thandizo Mphwiyo.
Commenting on her new position, Kathewera Banda thanked members of the NGO-GCN for entrusting her with such responsibility.
“I accept the position with all humility. It is not an easy task, but I believe that with the help of God and support from different stakeholders, I will make it,” she said.
