Ngosi’s brace sinks Bullets to earn Blue Eagles 3 points

Two second half goals from Blue Eagles striker Charles Ngosi were enough to hand the Lilongwe based Police outfit Blue Eagles F.C three points on top of high speed travelling people’s team Bullets F.C who are in the central region to complete two K65 million TNM Super League assignments.

Ngosi scored the first goal in the 71st minute before completing his brace two minutes later scoring past Bullets keeper Owen Chaima formerly of Mafco F.C.

The game started on a high note as both teams searched for an early lead which never came as both teams squandered a lot of scoring opportunities.

The best chance for Bullets came in the 23rd minute when Heston Munthali beautifully headed in the ball but Eagles keeper John Soko was alert to tip the ball over the bar for a corner kick.

Blue Eagles responded well through creating numerous chances but Ngosi upfront, Ken Mponda and Mecium Mhone were unlucky to find the back of the net.

In the second half tempers started to flare no wonder Eagles midfielder Alex Masanjala who was also voted man of the match was yellow carded for a reckless tackle on Douglas Chirambo.

Blue Eagles tried to make changes taking off Kenneth Mponda for Dan Phiri who increased the pace for the Eagles side and also orchestrated the first goal for the side.

Bullets failed to tick and show their capital city fans good football as they kept on chasing their own shadows more especially in the second half.

At the end of the match, it was all smiles for Blue Eagles coach Declerk Msakakuona who thanked his boys for a gallant fight.

His counterpart Edington Ng’onamo strongly condemned the referee of the day Jones Makhuwira for poor officiation.

“The officiation was poor and my boys got disappointed. It seems like we are dividing regions when it comes to officiation as the referees for the central region always rally behind central region teams” said Ng’onamo.

Bullets face Epac F.C on Sunday in another tricky fixture at the Silver Stadium.

Bullets F.C will also welcome back their striker Gabadini Mhango who was serving a red card suspension.

The teenager has scored numerous important goals including helping his club to sail through to the finals of the prestigious Presidential Cup.
