Nigerian preacher Kamuyi in Malawi, to pray for Ebola

Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Life Church Dr William Kumuyi arrived in the country on Tuesday for a three day crusade and pastors conference.

Briefing reporters  in Lilongwe upon the arrival, the Nigerian based Kumuyi said Malawians should expect answers to their spiritual, social and economical problems during his preaching of the
gospel.

“In a world that we are living in, we all need to know that Christ brought the good news at his birth and left us the same on his cross.

“All the diseases we have today are not powerful than the word of God. Jesus commissioned us to do what he could have done if he was alive. I have seen people being healed of HIV/AIDS and the same is possible with Ebola so we will pray for each and every soul,” he said.

According to Kumuyi, Deeper Life Church has over 10 000 churches in 45 African countries and is in 20 Africans outside the continent.

During the three days, there will be training for pastors from different denominations on leadership and integrity among others.

Evangelical Association of Malawi (EAM) General Secretary Reverend Francis Mkandawire said the coming of Dr Kumuyi is a welcome development as it will unite the church in the country.

“His work is inter-denominational movement which will manage to bring leaders from different churches thereby uniting us all for a common good, spreading the word of God,” he said.
