Nkacha out of Flames squad with groin injury
Silver Strikers blossoming midfielder Harvey Nkacha returned back from Flames camp on Monday due to a groin injury, which he suffered on Sunday’s training session at Kamuzu Stadium in the
commercial city of Malawi, Blantyre.
Nkacha is among the 25 Flames players who were called into camp in readiness of the China trip on May, 6 and other Flames competitive games in June.
In an interview with Nyasa Timesat Kamuzu Stadium, the player said that he was disappointed with the injury.
The former Zomba United star said that it was during Sunday’s training session that he got injured.
“It is a groin injury and at first l thought it was simple but after my team doctor examined it. he found out that it was a serious one,” said Nkacha.
Meanwhile, Flames mentor Kinnah Phiri has said that he is fighting with physically fitness for his players as they were on off-season.
“As you are aware that we are still on off-season most of the players are lacking fitness but at the end of this week lam hopeful that most of them will be physically fit,” said Phiri.
The Flames are expected to leave for China on May 6 before coming back home to prepare for Chad in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers match and Nigeria in the World Cup qualifiers encounter.
