Nkasa sings politics: ‘Vote Chimunthu’
Malawi’s poetic musician Joseph Nkasa has composed a song urging Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to rally behind presidential aspirant Henry Chimunthu Banda.
In the song Vote Chimunthu ,Mkasa sings: “Tinaona nthawi ya impeachment, anthu ena anathawa kulowa mzipani zina, koma Chimunthu anaima nganganga pambuyo pa boma, mpaka bomalo linalimba.”
In the chorus Mkasa chants:“Anthu akumwera, mvotereni, mvotereni, mvotereni, Henry tionetse demokalase.”
Of the ‘Mose wa Lero’ fame, Mkasa also dubs Chimunthu as a friendly person to all people including the poor.
Nkasa therefore urges people to vote for Chimunthu Banda at the DPP convention underway in Blantyre.
