Nkhoma Synod disputes MCP authored pastoral letter
Nkhoma Synod of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) has described as ridiculous social media speculations that the opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) authored its pastoral letter which was read in all its central region churches on Sunday.
Reverend Vasco Kachipapa, secretary general of the synod said the church not a political party.
“We cannot be used by any political party. We are independent of any political party in the country. We have no affiliation to any party,” said Kachipapa.
Spokesperson of the MCP, Reverend Maurice Munthali said the party had no hand in the pastoral letter.
“That pastoral letter belongs to the Nkhoma synod. The MCP does not issue pastoral letters. The synod has its own rules and policies on how to write and issue pastoral letters,” said Munthali.
The pastoral letter has buoyed MCP supporters ahead of the May 21 elections to be held in less than three weeks’ time.
The pastoral letter themed; An Opportunity to Choose a Leader With Good Reputation, Full of the Holy Spirit and Wisdom (Acts 6:3), said the leader to be entrusted with power in the May 21 elections should be one that will respect the Constitution, has no record of corruption, will unify Malawians and will not protect thieves and looters of public resources.
The guidance added that such a leader should also not promote abortion and same sex marriages and must make his stand known on these issues.
Reads the letter: “We, the clergy of CCAP Nkhoma Synod, encourage all voters to vote into power the one and only leader who has the above-listed leadership qualities as the President of the Republic of Malawi. The man with good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom [Acts 6:3].”
The letter also faults ruling DPP leadership for not condemning or disciplining its youth cadets for perpetrating violence.

It’s clear that Nkhoma is campaigning for MCP. Fortunately Malawians are clever enough to choose a real transformational leader. I put my bet on Chilima.

why are people making all this noise when the letter has not mentioned any named candidate as the best candidate? The clergymen have just given a guide of qualities for the best candidate to be voted for. Let those who want to follow the clergy make their choices as guided by be pastoral letter
The Catholics wrote a similar letter in 1992 but we all accepted it. Kamuzu made some changes notably stopping forced party cards, gifts etc. The dpp government doesn’t want to accept the wrongs. Is it a lie that APM stole K145 million? Is it a lie that money or our taxes are being stolen through fuel cards and allowances? Is it a lie that there is no violence against opposition? Is it a lie that Chilima is still in government? Is it a lie that Atupele is working with a thief? Is it a lie that jobs go to one tribe? Doesn’t Chilima talk about jobs being given to one tribe? Why then is Henry Mussa disputing this claim? Stupid. Why is Henry Mussa talking about the old MCP? He is stupid. Henry Mussa’s wife is a diplomat. Why not give that post to others. Malawians let’s remove these thugs. Lewis Mwanavekha is a diplomat in China. Joseph Mwanavekha Mathyola Nakali is a minister. You see that Henry Mussa. Supuni joined the army in 1976 and has reached retirement age but you removed Kachama just because he is from Lilongwe.

Verily! verily! our vocal CSOs will not support this Pastoral Letter because of just this quote highlighted above.
Verily! verily! even those candidates that are appearing to be favoured by this letter will NEVER fulfill the above condition. Mark my words.
What measures are put in place for us to know that the president is full of the holy spirit? In biblical times, the person was doing extraordinary things like killing many people, killing dangerous animals, removing strong gates etc. Can you inform us of the characteristics of a modern holy spirit filled man. because not all that says lord Jesus, Lord Jesus belongs to him.
Are you serious you need to know that the president is ful of “The Holy Spirit “? Okay avail yourself by believing in Him and acting the “Word of God”, once you do that He will show you who they are.
Mind you, the Holy Spirit only talks to those who believe Him and act the “Word of God”! If you do the above He will do just as He did to Peter when he had his a vision on the rooftop in Joppa, “the Spirit will talk to you as He said to Peter, ‘Three men are looking for you. So rise and go down, and go with them, doubting nothing. For I have sent them'” (Acts 10:19-20).
My friend, every action of the life of our current Malawian president has been reflecting what he is filled with. Things like leading in stealing and saving stolen money tells a lot! What he does are examples of the examples of things that grieve the Holy Spirit. The greatest sin against the Holy Spirit is grieving Him, and this amounts to denying His power and presence. If a president denies power of the Holy Spirit, the the country he is leading is in for satan’s actions.
Throughout the Bible God tells us, “Grieve not the Spirit.” So why should we continue having a president who is fond of doing those things we actually know they grieve the Holy Spirit? God the Father said to the children of Israel in the wilderness, “You have grieved My Holy Spirit” (see Is. 63:10). He didn’t say, “You have grieved Me.” God the Son looked at the Pharisees and said, “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven” (Luke 12:10).
Lastly the Bible tells us that we shall easily know those who are not for Him, in other words those who are good at grieving the Holy Spirit by their actions! Nde sikuti they are against anybody No, but its dangerous for the nation to be led by somebody who loves sin.

When Nkhoma Synod releases theirs they are fake pastors, when the others release theirs they are acting under the instruction of God. This hypocrisy must stop kkkkkk. Nkhoma Synod Woyeeeeee.

GOD can never change if God Called Chakwera to Pastor his people why would he change and give him this job. The truth is Chakwera left the call of God and so he forsake his call and him is also forsaken. Only Pride is what is keeping him where he is. Believe me he will never rule this country .

I have questions for people with this mentality that pastors should not vie for the country’s leadership position though. Are you happy being led by ungoldly, greedy, selfish, pompous people who have zero integrity and compassion, who do not care whether you are suffering or not so long their bread is buttered? Globe trotting all the time and not learning anything from those errands which can be brought home to boost the economy or infrastructure of this beautiful warm heart of Africa? I mean, you are so comfortable when they swindle the money meant for development and medication for our public hospitals for their personal use? Wake up people, it is time to change our mentality.

Thats your problem of understanding of the bible. Pastors are the leaders of the church. Chirch is group of people whose head is Jesus. Church is not the house we pray in. And Chakwera will lead the group of people whose head is to be jesus.
