Nomads back on top, Moyale suffers worst defeat of the season: Malawi TNM Super League

Northern Region side Moyale Barracks on Wednesday suffered their worst
defeat of the season after going down 5-1 to Mighty Be Forward Wanderers in a one sided affair played at the Balaka Stadium.

Wadabwa : Thank God am set to play again and score

Soccer lovers tuned in anticipating a highly competative match between the two sides as it was a rehearsal of the Carlsberg Cup Semifinal
match slatted for next weekend but the story was different in the field of play.

The visiting Moyale was completely disjointed giving the Nomads all the room to outplay them almost in every department.

After failing to clinch a deal in South Africa where he underwent trials at two clubs, prodigal son enterprising attacker Isaac Kaliati
returned to action with a bang leading the goals gallore in the first half.

Striker Jafali Chande increased the lead minutes later before veteran Joseph Kamwendo netted the third goal.

A brace from Peter Wadabwa in the second half completely killed off the soldiers but Kuda Muyaba managed to pull one back.

With the win, the Nomads have returned to the top of the Super League after being dislodged by Silver Strikers last weekend.

The Lali Lubani biys now have 31 points and are remaining with two games to wrap up the first round.

Silver Strikers come second with 29 points and they also have two games to finish the first round.

Nyasa Big Bullets moved to third position after beating Red Lions on 1-0 on Wednesday at the Chilomoni Stadium courtesy of a Nelson
Kangunje loan strike.

The People’s Team have collected 22 points from 14 games.

Civil Sporting Club and Moyale completes the top five list with 22 points each collected from 14 games but Civil have a superior goal
difference.

Civil is the only team to have scored highest number of goals in a single game .

They whacked Dwangwa United 6-1 few weeks ago.
