Nomads beat Tigers, Envirom in pre-season strength testing matches

Mighty Wanderers registered two wins in 24 hours in their pre-season matches against Azam Tigers and new rookies in the Super League, Envirom FC respectively.

The Nomads, who are also preparing their weekend Orange Partners Charity Shield against Silver Strikers on Saturday pruned Azam Tigers 3-1 on Wednesday before clipping Envirom FC on Thursday 2-0 courtesy of Victor Mpinganjira and Alfred Manyozo at Kamuzu Stadium.

In Thursday’s encounter, the Nomads featured Richard Chipuwa with lion-heartened Francis Mlimbika, Kondwani Lufeyo,Idrissa Walesi and Omega marshaling the defence.

On the middle of the park, Nafe Misasa, Jacob Ngwira and Alfred Manyozo were responsible in keeping the engine room boiling while Mike Kaziputa operated from the left winger to supply ball for Tony Chitsulo and Victor Mpinganjira to notch in goals.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports from the capital city indicates that some Silver Strikers players have threatened not to take part in the Bonanza for the clubs failure to settle them their K500,000 which they won after coming second in their 2-1 GOtv  defeat in the hands of Big Bullets .

However, the Bankers executive member Owen Munthali has refuted the reports stressing that the Bankers are ready to take part in the bonanza.

In another match on the same Saturday, Big Bullets will line-up against Epac FC on the same venue.

The winners from both side will meet on Sunday where the winning finalist will carter home a whooping of K1 million.
