Nomads goalkeeper Chipuwa Mozambique bound: For trials at Chingale FC
Mighty Be-Forward Wanderers goalkeeper Richard Chipuwa is expected to travel to Tete in Mozambique any day where he is expected to undergo trials at Chingale FC, Chipuwa himself have confirmed to Nyasa Times.
The second choice Flames goalkeeper who enjoyed a fine form last season and his consistent displays told Nyasa Times that he is ready to face new challenges.
“I am so delighted with the trip because it has been my dream to play outside the country,” said Chipuwa.
Chipuwa, who is one of Malawi’s best goalkeepers, said he still loves Mighty Wanderers and that the fans should not get worried.
“Wanderers will still remain in my blood,” Chipuwa said.
He also urged the Nomads fans to be with him in prayers so that he can be successful during the trials.
“All I am asking my fans, especially all Nyerere fans is to be with me in prayers. I am 100 percent sure that l will clinch this deal because they have been phoning me at least daily asking for my services,” said Chipuwa.
Chipuwa will be the second Nomads goalkeeper to ply his trade in Mozambique after Simplex Nthara.
Another Malawian goalkeeper Charles Swini is also in Mozambique for a season.
Apart from Chipuwa and Swini there are other Malawian players plying their trade in the former Portuguese colony country like Foster Namwera, Moses Chavula, Chimango Kayira, Idrisa Walesi, Frank Banda and Zicco Mkanda.
