Nomads seal Be Forward sponsorship deal
Japanese car dealers Be Forward, who are extending their operations to Malawi, have signed a sponsorship deal with Mighty Wanderers aka the Nomads reported to be in the excess of K60 million, Nyasa Times understands.

Nomads were among the three teams competing for the sponsorship. Others were Big Bullets and Epac FC.
Nyasa Times sources at Lali Lubani Road, the base for the Nomads indicate that the sponsorship deal has been signed for 10 years.
Sources said the deal agreement had some hiccups as Be Forward demanded the club to use black and orange colours representing its corporate image but later agree that the Nomads should remain the blues.
Be Forward, which sells second-hand vehicles, has offered to sponsor the blues for about K66 million per season an agreement of an increment every season.
“It is true that Be Forward and Wanderers officials met on Thursday to put pen to paper on a 10 years sponsorship deal,” said the source.
When contacted for comment Wanderers secretary Mabvuto Butao referred Nyasa Times to the club’s chairman George Chamangwana.
Chamangwana said he could not immediately comment.
The source insisted that despite the officials keeping their comments reserved for now, Nomads have clinched the sponsorship deal.
“There is blue smoke at Wanderers. Be forward looking for good news,” he said.
Be Forward disclosed its commitment towards football sponsorship in Malawi after sponsoring a four-team tournament involving two Blantyre based clubs Bullets and Wanderers and their Lilongwe counterparts Silver Strikers and Epac.
