Ntcheu District Sports Officer Mathero Kambalame encouraged young people to take part in various sporting activities for the sake of their health.

Kambalame said the campaign will help the youth to be “busy.”

“Our aim is to see to it that young people are taking part in different sporting activities and at the same time that they are not involved in immoral behaviours,” said Kambalame.

The sporting activities include football, netball, bawo, short put and javelin.

Ntcheu Schools Sports Association (MASSA) District Chairperson John Muhajiri commended Ministry of Sports for coming up with programmes that will benefit the youth.

Muhajiri said the campaign will help in promoting “minority games.”

He called for various stakeholders to further “support the initiative.”
