When the Parliamentarian demanded the list of the deserving students to be rewarded, it was shameful to note that those who did well were only four boys.

And the rest managed only to score 28 points and  way above the MP rewarding criteria which was below 24 points.

“I brought here this bag of money to decorate the genius boys and girls who did well but it’s unfortunate that I am returning with my bag to Lilongwe because there is no one apart from these four who are deserving to have the awards,” said Kalima.

Kalima said “Work hard so that next year you should have a chance to have this price, mind you next year the price may not be even the same I might think of hiking.”

During the ceremony Kalima then splashed K1.5million to winning teams in the Hon Kalima Trophy.

Senior Chief Kasakula thanked Kalima for awarding the bright boys saying the awards will encourage other students to work hard in class.

During the function Kalima also distributed 20 footballs.
