Malawi football powerhouse, Nyasa Big Bullets on Saturday lifted the Presidential cup on penalties against Moyale Barracks after 90 gruelling minutes at Civo Stadium in the capital Lilongwe.
Moyale went in ahead inthe 36th minute of the first half through their striker Wiseman Kamanga, but saw Nyasa Bullets equalise late in injury time—93rd minute through Chiukepo Msowoya from the spot kick .
Bullets later claimed victory againts Moyale Barracks 4-3 in a dramatic post match penalties .
Moyale managed to score only 3 spot kicks from a possible 5 while Bullets converted 4 spot kicks thereby being crowned the struggling champions of the 2016 presidential cup.
Team manager for Nyasa Big Bullets FC Rahim Ishmael thanked God for the sensational victory while a dejected Moyale Barracks official said it was not their time to win the trophy after dishing out their best to claim victory.
