Nyasa Bullets to go ahead with elections
Nyasa Big Bullets board of trustee’s chairperson James Busile has said the executive committee elections slated for February 12 will go ahead.
Busile said at no time did the trustees resolve to shelve the polls.
He said cancelling the polls would be a recipe for chaos.
“The elections are on whatsoever,” said Busile.
Busile said Bullets will start with elections for the main supporters committee on February 4 and those for the executive committee a week later.
Bullets top fan Stone Mwamadi commended Busile for his stand to have elections for the executive.
“The elections must go ahead as planned, “he said.
Bullets are expected to use the AGM to elect a new executive committee to replace the interim one chaired by Noel Lipipa.
The AGM will also resolve the ownership challenges.
Bullets is currently registered under multiple ownerships, including as a trusteeship and a company, raising questions as to who really owns the entity.
