Speaking during the symbolic presentation of the sponsorship in Blantyre on Tuesday, Old Mutual Group Human Capital Executive, Rex Kadzongwe, said as a business driven by the desire to impact communities, the company delights in supporting professional bodies and today we are glad to cement our relationship with IPMM.

“IPMM’s annual Lake conference is critical to the development of the Human Resource profession as it provides the opportunity to share knowledge and reflect on the new trends in the field. We are living in a very dynamic world where things are constantly evolving requiring us also to constantly change by becoming more innovative and embracing technology,” he said.

Kadzongwe added Old Mutual believes in its staff’s continuous professional development, and the conferences align and support this intention.

“As a contribution to this professional development, Old Mutual colleagues, from our Life and Pensions Business will also spare some time to take the participants through the latest in Pension Regulation and also our new innovative products that they stand to benefit from.

“Furthermore, we must bear in mind that this annual conference also offers HR officers an opportunity to refresh after long sometimes extended periods of work. The conference offers that great opportunity to balance and enjoy the cool breeze from the Lake,” he explained.

According to Kadzongwe, IPMM has always been a key partner, which they have always provided their support when they have called. He pledged his company’s commitment to continue rendering support to this professional body.

“Being a locally recognized and registered People Management body, we have always been inspired by your agenda to build the right skills and knowledge set in your members with the view to properly position them in their quest to become strategically valuable in meeting the objectives of respective organizations whether in the short term, medium term or long term.

“As Old Mutual, we can attest to the objectives of IPMM because we have significantly benefitted from them through some of our staff who are members of this professional body,” narrated Kadzongwe.
