Paramount donates truck to Malawi leader for transporting relief maize
Paramount Engineering Company has donated a truck to President Joyce Banda’s maize distribution initiative as one way of easing transportation problems of the maize that the Malawi leader distributes to the impoverished.
Speaking at Sanjika Palace in Blantyre after receiving the truck, President Banda said she is very grateful for the timely donation as it will help in the distribution exercise.
“One problem that party members and myself are facing in the distributing of maize is ferrying the maize from one district to the other, with the rainy season it’s now worse,” said President Banda
The Malawi leader said it is her wish to reach all people that affected with hunger so that they receive the food items to help them but sometimes transportation problems hinder the goodwill to reach other rural areas.
Managing Director of Paramount Engineering, Mohan Krishna said distribution of maize is a good initiative that all Malawians should do to help the people affected of hunger.
He said donating the truck is one way of helping the initiative reach people in the rural areas so that they can have food.
