Pastor Wingolo claims Satanic cult responsible for Malawi road carnage: To hold special prayers
Founder and overseer of the Soul Savers Church, Pastor Steve Wingolo, says increased occurrence of road accidents in Malawi need special prayers describing it as Satanism attacks.
According to Wingolo there is need for Christians to hold hands in prayer and rebuke the work of the devil.
“As Christians we need to come together in prayer and rebuke this evil spirit which is causing accidents and God will fight for us,” he said.
The Pastor’s come amid growing accidents on the roads of Malawi that have claimed lives and left many others injured in the recent past
Wingolo has also organized a crusade dubbed a night of breakthroughs on Friday, 30th June at Chinkhoma Trading centre in Kasungu District where among other things the will spare time to pray against evil spirits causing recent spate of fatal road accidents in all three regions of the country.
“As a church we are very concerned with the increase of road accidents and we cannot just stay ido,we need to seek God and he is the only one who can deal with these issues ,this is not normal, it’s Satanism,” Wingolo said
During the Crusade Wingolo said they will also spare time for deliverance and counseling.
“There will also be deliverance and counseling sessions, People should come and God will open closed doors for them and they will breakthrough in all spheres of life. There shall be breakthroughs in marriages, jobs, businesses, carriers’, and future and their story will change,” he said
After Kasungu, Wingolo said Soul Savers Church is targeting Chikwawa and Nsanje districts.
Slated to start at 6 o’clock in the evening till the morning the crusade will be spiced with Music performances by the Saul Savers Praise team, Soul Savers Women Choir, and Mchinji Soul Savers Melodies.
Ministry of Information and Communications Technology Nicholas Dausi said in statement that government is equally shocked on the occurrence of accidents on the roads of Malawi.

THE DEVIL USES MAN’S WEAKNESS TO ATTACK
Pastor Wingo like other economic pastors, false prophets and bishops wants to build his empire over roads accidents. He wants to lead the holding of hands together, raise cash and fame and hold the events nationwide. He ignores what contributes to road accidents like amateur /reckless driving, drink and driving, poor road and vehicle conditions. Wingolo why can’t you pray against these fatal factors and corrupt officers in road traffic and police first before you attack the Devil? My understanding is that Satanism is a noun from Satan. Any work of evil including false religions/faiths, lies, theft, cashgate, bribery, immorality is Satanism meaning they are all perpetuated by Satan/Devil. Satanism isn’t a special cult that needs special pastors to deal with. Any true and faithful believer in Christ can wade off evil works/Satanism. You created the cult for purposes of frightening and ripping off those who are in shadow of ignorance of the scriptures.
The issuing of drivers’ licence must be investigated. I understand that corruption is rife in that section of traffic department.
Uncapable people just bribe officials to get driving licences. Some people haven’t even driven a car in their life, but they have driving licences ……… I mean how can that be? The rot starts from issuing of driving licences to the people who don’t know road rules and proper driving.

Pastor Wingolo, Pray for asilamu pilizi, every time of the year ukafika mwezi wawo uwu amasala, chipwilikiti cha ngozi chimachuluka. Nkutheka ndiomwewo amakhala akupeleka nsembe zawo kwa nkulu wawo uja anafa osaukanso amati kaya muhammadi……. Bad pipo with their bad religion no wanda in most of their countries chipwilikiti nchosayamba.
Much as I respect Men of God, I hate when Men of God seem to exhort satan so high. To me it shows that men of God are NOT teaching or equipping their flock to Resist the devil with the power of the Scriptures.
For example, if we talk of the bus or any motor vehicle accident. Firstly it means there was the so called ” Driver” driving the vehicle. Is this driver sober minded? Does this driver have enough experience? Does he know when to speed and when to slow down? Is he able to know that he is tired and needs to rest? In Malawi, most of these accident border on the above premises.
Let me repeat to say , most of these drivers you see today, BOUGHT their driving licences!!!!!! You will agree with me the very young driver , check on their licences. In the Old Days we used to have J & K , Class G, Class F, PSV .The J & K could NOT Drive Class G. Could drive a bus. They were being trained on every class. For one to have Class F or PSV, they will have had years on the roads. But these days same day they have C1,EC, ED, PSV, PDG ALL on one day. Give him a 10 Tone Lorry, they can not drive. How did he get all these? For how long has he driven? Some you hear 3 years. Three years experience!
Let us not put all the blame on satan. Osa mpopa satan. Unless if we say these drivers are also satans or agents of satan.
My only worry is that some very innocent lives are lost in this way. God should help us.
I think there are many factors contributing to road accidents in Malawi apart from what the pastor is speculating.
1. The drivers; do they all hold valid and legitimate drivers licences? Are they fit enough to be driving I.e. Drunk alcohol, influence of drugs, tiredness, attitudes, or are they also under pressure to carry more passengers? What are the attitudes of drivers when on the roads?
2. Road conditions; are the roads well maintained with no pot holes? Are there road signs that can easily be seen from far? Are roads well marked with lines to separate traffic going opposite directions? Are roads enough to carry amount of traffic? The presence of traffic police on the roads can be pushing drivers to avoid the road blocks as well, as the police don’t advise the drivers what’s wrong and allow time to fix it, they just charge a lot of money and confiscate licenses or take away cars. This causes panic and stress in both drivers and passengers alike
3. Car conditions; are the cars road worthy? Are they legitimately tested and passed correctly by the authorities to be driving on roads? Are the cars adhering to carrying capacity or overloaded? Are the cars well maintained by qualified mechanics? Are the mechanics doing their job with care and honesty?
Looking at the above factors will certainly help. The issue of Satan should be put into context not taken literally. The people need to change their attitudes such as drivers , minibus associations , authorities from road traffic offices to traffic police officers and people managing bus depots.Car owners need to do soul searching as well as they expect more and more money from their employees or refuse to carry out maintenance work on their cars.
Dear Pastor Wingolo and other associate Pastors, Bishops, Prophets , Prophetesses etc.
We all aware that Satanism is there. However, you people mentioned above use the term to benefit yourself and brow matters out of proportion with an aim of intimidating people and seek attention. Don’t think that always Satanism is always something big, even the small collective man made misstates can be classified in this category. Image the following: a bus owner failing to fix good tyres to his bus, failing to test his vehicle for fitness, overloading buses , over cruising, drinking alcohol whilst driving , forcing drivers driving whilst tired etc. Are these not so called elements of Satanism? What is you definition of Satanism? Do you know that instilling fear and intimidation in the name of God is also an element of Satanism?
He is right when dark forces contaminate the wondering minds of the responsible parties causing carnage and suffering for the nation and its peoples.
