Peace maker die in a bizarre fight –Malawi police

A 33 year old Jeremia Kulisunga from Kaloga Village in Traditional Authority Mpando in Ntcheu has died after being stabbed by a colleague in a bizarre manner.


The police say they received the report from Group Village Headman Katete that Kulisunga was murdered by Masautso Fasio, 23 from the same village at a drinking joint on July 3, 2016.

“We received a report from Group Village Headman Katete, real name Mr. Stephano Steven, aged 45 who comes from Kalonga Village in Traditional Authority Mpando in Ntcheu about the murder case.

“Brief facts are that both were at a beer joint and whilst there,other two men were fighting. The accused and deceased were trying to calm the situation and in due course of that,they started their on fight which ended into the suspect stubbing the other twice on the back,” reads a police statement.

The victim was rushed to Mzama Mission Hosipital where he was pronounced dead.

“The suspect was arrested and the dead body is being kept at Mzama Mission Hospital awaiting collection and postmortem,” adds the statement.
