Player exodus hits Epac FC: Thindwa in Zim

Lilongwe based TNM Super League outfit Epac FC, alias Njenjete have been hit by a player exodus with close to half of the team’s first choice players headed for other camps in search for greener pastures.

Top on the list of players who have left the club is hitman Ishmael Thindwa, alias Mr Epac, who is already trying his luck at Zimbabwe’s Caps United alongside skipper Tsanzo Dalio.

Both players have been undergoing trials with the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side and are likely to be part of the Caps United squad that is expected to take part in the inaugural Zambezi Challenge Cup tournament kicking off tomorrow (February 15, 2014) at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Apart from the two, enterprising striker Mussa Manyenje and midfielder Pilirani Zonda have reportedly ditched the club to join Big Bullets. Reports say the two are already in Bullets’ camp

Despite posting some good results, Epac finished on an enviable 11th position (Fifth from the bottom) in the 2013 TNM Super League season, having failed to grab any silverware or reach the paid ranks of any competition.

The club’s owner Dini Jossiah Banda reacted by firing the entire technical panel led by Abbas Makawa. The firing of the coaches is believed to have triggered the players’ exodus.
