Confirming the development Sunday, Phalombe Police Publicist Augustus Nkhwazi said the case involving the woman, Esnart Chinangwa of Ndalama Village Traditional Authority Chiwalo in the district was currently under investigation.
According to Nkhwazi the woman and her son allegedly beat the deceased, Wilfred Chinangwa over household disagreements.

“This did not go well with the wife and her son, which led to a fight between the three,” Nkhwazi explained.
He added that after the deceased was overpowered neighbours rescued him from the two assailants and took him to Nambazo Health Centre where he was admitted and died the following day.
A postmortem that was conducted bat the Health Centre revealed that Chinangwa who hailed from Ndalama Village, Traditional Authority Chiwalo in the same district died of internal bleeding.
