POV takes ‘Ambuye Mukundimva’ to Lilongwe
Blantyre-based gospel group, the Mighty POV, will be heading to the capital Lilongwe where they are scheduled to re-launch their latest album titled ‘Ambuye Mukundimva’.
POV, comprising of the duo Isaac Chizaka and Omex Chimpeni, officially unveiled their fourth album last year at Robins Park in Blantyre.
This coming Sunday, May 4, they will be taking it to their capital city fans at a show that is slated for Sheaffer ICA Marque at the Assemblies of God church in Area 15.

Since its release, the title-track has been an anthem across the country, making it one of the most popular gospel songs to date.
“After the first show in Blantyre last October there has been pressure from Lilongwe fans, but we had to be fully prepared and now is the time,” Chizaka told Nyasa Times.
He added: “This show will be a milestone in the history of POV because since the group was formed we have never hosted our own show in Lilongwe, so 4th May is a historic day in our ministry.”
Some of the songs on the album like ‘Mtima Tadekha’, ‘Udikire Akufupe Kaye’ and the title-track, which are currently enjoying airplay on different local radio stations, are expected to be performed live.
Apart from the Mighty POV, a number of renowned gospel outfits are also billed to spice up the show. They include Faith Mussa, Khama Khwiliro, Favoured Martha, Great Angels Choir, Kamuzu Barracks, Marvelous Deeds and Christ Melodies.
The performances on Sunday are scheduled to start at 1pm and will attract an entry fee of K1,000 per hear.
POV’s previous albums include ‘Tiankhandwe’, ‘Lipenga’ and ‘Madalitso Mbwembwembwe.’
