People’s Party (PP) Deputy Publicity Secretary, Ken Msonda will contest as a Member of Parliament for Rumphi East Constituency in 2014 tripartite elections.

Msonda told Nyasa Times that the constituents asked him to contest and represent them as Member of Parliament for the area.

Incumbent parliamentarian for the area is Doza Thindwa of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Msonda said he was not going home with magic but would like to continue from where others left.

“I am going to build where others have already laid the foundation. This is the time people should learn to work together and bury their political differences,” said Msonda.

Msonda, who claimed to have started political career between 1992 and 1993, joined politics when others were afraid to make that move.

“I am happy that people from my home have recognized my political concentration in the country and would like me to serve them,” he added.
