Prison Sisters beat Chilomoni in Rainbow Paints
Prison Sisters held their nerve to seal a 58-31 victory against Chilomoni Sisters on Tuesday in the Rainbow Paints Southern Region League at Blantyre Youth Centre.
Earlier on, in an early throw-off Gerald Tasaukadala secured a 48-19 win over Young Professionals.
In a physical first half, Prison produced a strong defensive display and out-witted the Chilomoni attack to take a lead in all the four quarters.
Chilomoni began to tire, as most of their players looked run out of fuel in their tanks, especially in the third quarter giving an advantage to Prison who has a youthful squad.
Meanwhile, games in the Rainbow Paints continues on Thursday as Kukoma Diamonds takes on Gerald Tasaukadala, while Tigresses entertain Shizaella Queens.
On Friday, it will Polytechnic hosting Thunder Queens at their own backyard.
On another note, in all the weekend games, spectators will be asked to pay K200.00 as gate fee.
