Prophet Bushiri shakes Mzuzu: Malawi Police band leads parade, prays for country’s leadership

Business was on stand still on Friday. Mzuzu city in the northern Malawi was flooded with a sea of people Willingly or unwillingly, all souls wanted to see him. It was Major 1, prophet Shepherd Bushiri back in his genesis town for a once in a million crusade that has attracted thousands of people from within and outside Malawi.

Mzuzu Stadium was the main venue and the ground was packed to the last space available. That’s the definition of ‘Major 1’.

People were treated to a spiritually crazy entry as Bushiri came in the company of Malawi Police band leading the parade that housed his motorcade of posh vehicles.

Remember the entry of Jesus to home town of Jerusalem? Bushiri gave what is up to day described as dramatic, but triumphal entry.

Mzuzu city experience the same.

“This is a historical city to me and our ministry,” said Bushiri as the crowds erupted “Amen! Amen!”

“This is where I had my first church. Mzuzu has always been my joy. The people of Mzuzu have always stood by me through thin and thick,” Major 1 as Bushuri is fondly called by his followers, said.

“ It is Mzuzu city that God chose to house my genesis,” said Bushiri the moment he got on the pulpit amid a acacophony of cheering from the congregation that attended the conference on its first day.

Bushiri also took time to recognize the leadership of the country and urged Christians to be praying for leaders.

“Before I start, let me recognize the leadership of the country. I pray for the President every day because the bible makes it clear that we pray for our leaders. May God continue to bless our leaders in Jesus’ name,” he said prayed.

Major Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s ministry was envisioned in Mzuzu, right from his childhood conduct. Mzuzu is where he had his first church.

Today, his church, the Enlightened Christian Gathering has expanded so alarming to different corners of the world, with South Africa as its Head Quarters where thousands of international visitors go every two weeks to meet the man of God.

  167. The leader of the roman catholic church which by far has the biggest following in Malawi is never offered such protection by the police let alone the police band playing at his ceremonies.

    Now the question I have is that how much did Bushiri pay the police band and the PMF security men at this function? Or was the police attendance on the taxpayers bill? If so who authorised this? Bushiri’s first words at this function was to thank and pray for APM and the DPP regime, what’s going on here?

    Just the night before the function several houses were attacked by robbers in Mzuzu and when the police were informed, their answer was that they had no enough staff and no fuel……….and yet the following morning we are seeing a fully dressed police battalion jumping to the orders of this fake prophet. What a shame, the Malawi police has sunk so low, during Kamuzu Banda’s time such nonsense would never have happened. Seems Malawi has now become a failed state

Looking at the pictures of Bushiri arriving at Mzuzu Stadium one would really not deny that Bushiri is the most second famous person in Malawi apart from Professor Peter Arthur Mutharika according to world standards. I think that God the Father and Son were all happy to see Bushiri being welcomed by thousands of people. Most attracting and fascinating is the motor-cade of posh cars with South African registration number plates from the rich elite Gauteng Province and heavily armed security detail. My question to my fellow leaders is this; If Jesus were to come today, will He need all these posh cars and security detail? of course the Bible says that just prior to His second Satan and his followers will oppose his coming and will fight the war but Jesus will triumph in the end. The other question is that do modern Prophets, Pastors, Bishops, Reverends, Apostles need motor-cades of posh cars and security detail? I thought they are protected by God….why should they fear for their lives? Did the apostles have body guards? Recently I saw the Pope using a small car in his current visit to the US for the UN General Assembly but he too had a security detail. Is it because late Pope John Paul II was once shot though he survived the attempted assassination.
