For an upcoming musician who has been lined up against veteran and established artists to perform at the an anuual even, one would think that the inferiority complex will take its cause but not with Queen B.

“This is my first time to person at such a stage with a large audience. But I promise everyone that despite all that, I will give out my best. I am training not as an upcoming artist who is going for a trial but a complete artist who is ready to give out what entertainment lovers look for.
“This is the chance each and every upcoming musician look for to reach out to different audiences. I promise all people a massive performance from a Manganje Queen and a Manganje Star,” said Queen B who is also known as the Jamming Queen.

He said unlike in the past where concert organisers have been looking for experienced artists, they have included upcoming artists.
“It will be a combination of both old and new artists. We want the younger generation to learn from the older generation. We have to start giving them a platform to grow on, so as Entertainers promotion, we are just doing that,” he said.
He added that “I have noticed that most Malawian artists would like to be a part of the event but it’s a bit hard for us to accommodate all of them as we are still looking for sponsorship. This event is dedicated to show case Malawian talent from all parts of the country.”
Banda also said that they have invited European promoters at the concert to enable Malawian artists who are expected to perform at the show to have some international exposure.
“We want to give room for the promoters to have a feel of what Malawi artists can offer on the international platform. We want these promoters to be inviting our artists to their festivals and not the current case where Malawian musicians are always invited by fellow countrymen in diaspora to perform there.
“As entertainers, we believe that coupled with our international stage and quality sound, if our musicians give it all during the event, they will have a chance to sign deals with these European promoters,” said Banda.
